I’ve always thought the Kelpo cereal on SpongeBob looked just like Kix Cereal so I decided to make Spongebob Kelpo Cheesecake Cups for our SpongeBob themed party! With pre-made cheesecake filling, these literally took just minutes to make and they are SO GOOD!

You will need:

1 (24.3 oz) tub of no-bake ready made cheesecake filling
1 (8 oz.) tub of Cool Whip
Kix cereal
Green fondant
Piping bag
Parchment paper
Fondant roller
Pizza cutter
Mini appetizer cups
Directions for SpongeBob Kelpo Cheesecake Cups:
Roll out the fondant and with the pizza cutter cut into small strips. Twist the strips and let dry for a few hours until firm or overnight. This is optional but it really makes the desserts look cute!

Fill a piping bag with the cheesecake filling and cut off the end. Pipe the cheesecake evenly between the cups. Then fill a piping bag with the Cool Whip and cut off the end. Pipe the Cool Whip evenly between the cups. It’s that easy!

Sprinkle with a few Kix cereal on top – no need for a crust because this gives the dessert a nice crunch. The Kix cereal really does look like SpongeBob’s Kelpo cereal!

Place the 3 fondant seaweed in each cup if desired. This is totally optional but it makes them look so cute!

You can make 8-12 cups depending on the size of your cups and how much you fill them up. Or you can layer this in a nice dish and scoop it out or place the layers in a premade graham cracker pie crust! Add some blueberries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce if you like!
